i swear a while ago i read about megan getting an article from eun, and i wrote to julie saying i couldnt go to macys cause i needed to get home in time for the game, and to rupa about ave q...and now all those have disappeared too...are the rest of you writing?? im confused...im emailing this to julie and rupa too just to see in case this one disappears also...

new years

my test is the first weekend, so DEF DONT COME THEN ill be super sad if you guys are out friday and im miserable and stressed...

i have one more week of vaca to take in dec and will prob figure that out in the next few weeks...how about new years? jules and jackie have been thinking of staying here...and cause of that ive been thinking of staying (my other idea was to go to STL for new years cause dev will be there)...rupa?

serendipity

i don't follow baseball, that's how i can be in a bad mood. plus - i'm serious about this haven't seen sunshine thing! and i checked the weather - tomorrow afternoon, there is a chance of some sunshine. that is the ONLY sun expected in the next 10 days. i'm getting a serious case of seasonal depression and i'm getting it quick.

plus, i miss going out and having a life. i don't like dealing with a boyfriend i can't have over because my best friend doesn't like him. it's all giving me a big fat headache lately. like - gen promised me if i wanted to ditch this job and move to nyc right now, she'd still write me a good reference even though eun would be pissed at me.

i'm in a funk :( . . . and it's all because of this stupid weather! i really think i'll be visiting you guys in december - pre x-mas holiday. so, nush i know you have your test in early december and i know you guys book up early sooo - pick a weekend and i'll go by plane tickets. or tell me we are all going to fly to vegas for a weekend and i'll buy tickets there. but just pick the weekend and the location and i'll be there.

jackie and i are going to macy's after work today - she needs to buy a dress for her baby cousin's baptism (she's going to be the godmother). nush, you should come with us if you want to look for a coat there. i have some stupid anti-harrasment seminar i have to go to until 6:30, so we'll prob meet at macys around 6:45 or 7.

im not going to the thing tonight - im gonna go home, study and watch the game...maybe go to the gym...and i really need to buy an in between coat for this weather...sweatshirts arent really kosher at my office and my winter coat is just too thick...jackie said she got a nice one from old navy for cheap so i may stop by there after work...

meg - the dessert place rupa is talking about, serendipity, is the serendipity from the movie. i've never been there (and i don't think you have, either), but we may have tried to go there some time in the past. . .

yay for the red sox. that was SUCh an unbelievable game :) i talked to my sister last night who was out near fenway and taking part in all the craziness. i kinda want to be in boston to watch some of it.. i might go up for a game or two.. or at least go if there is a game 7 :)

i hope the cardinals win tonight. even though my heart is with the red sox.. :) i think the cardinals are such a good solid non-pretentious team.. they should at least get the pennant tonight!

i was listening to the radio this morning.. first i heard all the anti-redsox talk and then.. i heard about this new dessert at serendipity, which i think is a lil crazy. megan- serendipity, which you may have gone to during one of your trips, is this dessert place here that is famous for large really decadent gooey dessert. apparently they have a new sundae that is $1000.

yup. not a typo. one THOUSAND dollars (pinky at the side of my mouth and everything). apparently it's 5 scoops of ice cream.. all the regular goodies.. plus.. 24kt gold leaf covered edible chocolate... chocolate sauce from some special cocoa bean that only grows on 5 trees in the world... and fruit-flavored caviar (apparently they inject the fish eggs with passionfruit and orange liquer). oh.. and they let you take home the bowl that it's in.

isn't that ridiculo? it's good to see the economy is picking up and we're in this weird decadent era. $1000 for ice cream! that's a month's rent! or 10 pairs of expensive jeans.. or a laptop! craziness.

it is still raining in rochester. it hasn't stopped raining this week. i haven't seen sunshine in days. it is starting to get to me. i almost bought a plane ticket last night for nyc to leave tomorrow and not come back until sunday night. i thought that might cheer me up . . .

but my dad is coming tonight to take me out to dinner (with edgar - first time there has been parent/edgar contact since *the night*) and it's my grandma's birthday so i'm going to buffalo on saturday . . .

i played with jessie last night, so that was a little better. and i slept a lot. i need to go to the gym and rock climbing and stare at bright lights and try not to let the fact that there is no longer sun in rochester bother me.

1 more for me tonight....

i wore red and have my cards visor on my desk :) gametime is 8 pm...

my cousin is luckily in ithaca all day today so he doesnt have to be subjected to another night of baseball, but he is catching on to the game, and surprisingly yesterday, i wanted to go out to dinner and he wanted to stay home and watch the game! i fell asleep when it was 8-1 in the 6th or 7th inning....it was great :) 8 hours of sleep....

hopefully next week we will be cheering for different teams :)

i can't believe they did it! i love the red sox :) i'm so ready for game 1 of the world series on saturday. anusha's poor cousin . . .he's going to think everyone here is obsessed with baseball! i can't wait to go to free wine tonight and celebrate.
