wow i missed a whole day

i wish i sat at my desk more :) then i could write more often. i missed a whole day! megan- i'm so psyched to see you.. nush- i'd be happy to do ave q next week but tuesday or wednesday is the only thing that works. otherwise make him come in oct! (otherwise just us two could go.. but i know you want him to go).

jules i like the hair dyeing idea.. you could always go back to highlights in a few months.. but it might be nice to just have maintenance free hair for a while! do any of you have pictures of megan in the cap or with highlights?

i want to see :) i miss netflix.. i used to have it in boston and watched tons of movies- they had indian movies too! but now i am never home to outgrow the millions of movies i have on demand... so i never bother with netflix.

my last update didn't show up yet so i might have done something wrong- i was saying that the train is really fast- so we should take that to JFK- the trains to jamaica come often- and then it's only 5 minutes to JFK on the airtrain. i got good at it with megan :) and when I went to miami. i would love to use it again!

i guess we aren't doing BP tonight? what's a good night next week? i went there for lunch today on a lunch meeting.. we have to take advantage before it gets warm ;)

i could really care less about the show, so it's all good. i got barbershop2 from netflix the other day. so funny :) it's nice to watch something mindless once in a while. and anusha, it has a hot black guy in it! do you want to see it? or should i send it back?

those are the movies i'm getting right now through netflix. disc 1 should be in my mailbox tonight, disc 2 tomorrow, and disc 3 as soon as edgar sends back the passions of christ (which i loaned to his mom - i never even finished it because it interested me so little . . . i've concluded i really have to like a movie to read subtitles) didn't know whether i should have them around this weekend in case anyone is board or if i should start watching them tonight :)

i guess it's a good thing he's married to my mom, since she's reasonable and keeps him grounded :) my bro and i just encourage his craziness. what he likes about the food truck is that he could work only the breakfast and lunch hours, then wrap up at two and just spend time on his photography.

we started to get the second season of 24 through netflix, but i couldnt handle watching 23 hours of it by myself! and i think i only enjoyed it cause it meant we were hiding from cleaning/singing at aphi....the problem with netflx is julie and i never watch movies together! our timings are always off, she is home the one day im not, and im just boring....so no more movies for me...

i think i'd rather take the train - taking a cab at that time means we could be stuck in traffic for a while. also, it's pretty easy to get to JFK. i think if we leave at 6pm we should be fine. thoughts?

i just had lunch with anusha. i love randmoly taking off for an hour and hanging out with my friends. it makes the rest of the day go by so much faster. we sat outside in the sun and chatted for a while. even though i live with anusha, i definitely see her more outside of work!

and then this morning i had my coffee hour with rupa (i was literally at her office for almost an hour this morning)! they got a new espresso machine on her floor, so we used it for the very first time today. we were a little slow at it, but it sure beats paying $4 bucks at starbucks!

oooooh - and i chatted with my dad on the phone while i walked over to meet anusha. you guys know what he told me? he wants to move to nyc! so the business hasn't been doing so well, and they've been thinking of closing. my dad wants to move up here and open up a little food truck, selling cuban coffee and cuban and colombian goodies for breakfast, then cuban sandwhiches and stuff for lunch. all pretty easy stuff, nothing too difficult. i would be sooo happy if my parents moved here! then i'd get to see them a few times a week! it's still a pretty far-fetched idea, though. he's mentioned it to my mom a couple of times, but she thinks he's joking. my mom definitely doesn't want to work anymore - especially not at a food cart. i hope my dad can convince her. . . how much fun would that be?!?!

jules and i just met for lunch, she confirmed that im not asking too much of my boyfriend and that he is just an idiot...who unfortunately im still in love with so will have to "stomp" more i guess....

and on my walk back i ran into my grandfathers next door neighbor from india!!! how weird!!! it was nice, i stopped, said hi, they were surprised to see me :) now im back, have a big meeting at 5, then im going to devs apt to hang out with him him till he leaves for stl...

jules, i will prob be with him till 6, is it ok to meet then? im gonna call ellen soon to see what time she can meet...if its late, i may just postpone again, and maybe we can go next week...

i'm back

but i'm going to leave again. i decided instead of hanging out in the library, i should hang out with my best friend on her birthday :) we went and bought a vacuum (her mom's present to her) then went out to lunch. and the waitor's birthday is tomorrow! so, he gave us free cheesecake. now, i need to finish my experiment. which is basically the same thing i did on tuesday and the tuesday before that. so far, it has never gone smoothly. last tuesday i was here until 3 am because i didn't really do the math on how long it would take and this tuesday i was using a different chemicals which caused other problems and then i threw away my cells and was here until 7:30 at night. tonight, my goal is to start in 20 minutes and be done by 6:30. it may not happen. buuut . . . the girls are out of the lab until 4ish - so i will not have anyone chatting with me to distract me. soo . . . maybe :) tonight, i'm hanging out with edgar. he gave me my birthday present yesterday because he was excited - he got me tickets to stomp :) they are 7th row and next to the aisle, apparently the people come down into the audience and sit in the actual aisle seat and do stuff so he said i have to sit in the seat next to that. his little face lit up when he gave them to me :) i love him :) ok, off to set up so i don't waste time today!!!!!!!!!

oh, and julie . . . love the apples/wine thing :)

anyways, i can still go to bryant park today but only if we don't go too late. i want to go to the gym after work since i haven't gone all week. and then after the gym is when i'm going home and dying my hair. if not, i don't mind if you guys go without me. i need to save whatever little spending money i have to party it up in Rochester this weekend :)

i bought my victoria secret stuff yesterday...im excited :) i paid an extra 5 bucks for 3 day shipping so it gets here on wed, and then i shipped it to ct cause there is no sales tax on clothing there :)

meg, i want dunkin donuts too! there were two dd's close to my work which they closed a while ago. so sad. now my only options are overpriced starbucks (which i dont' think i can buy till after i get paid at the end of the month. . .) and the street coffee vendor. i love my street coffee vendor, but he just doesn't live up to dd.

so i think i'm going to dye my hair today. it's time for me to re-do my highlights, but i've decided i should stop throwing money away on my hair, at least for a few months. so i'm going to go back to a light brown/dirty blonde. jackie and i are going to duane reade tonight to pick up a box of the do-it-yourself stuff. say byebye to blonde julie. sad, huh? i conviced jackie to dye her hair black, too :) megan, remember when you let us give you highlights??? haha - you looked so funny in that cap.

so, i keep checking the weather for this weekend . . . we are up to 80s on friday, 70s on saturday and 60s on sunday - with only a few showers expected in the am of saturday! (in case you weren't sure - that's good news)

and yes - the time stamp is accurate. it is barely 8:00am and i am here. in fact, i've been here since 7:15. i don't do the next step until 9:30, though, and there is barely any prep time for it sooo . . . there is a dunkin donuts 2 blocks away that is CALLING MY NAME! i think a small coffee and a bagel with cream cheese . . .
