this day is never ending!

i'm in the home stretch of my day being over . . .
i just need to run samples on the machine (which eun has now started) and then i'm done! i've already done all the cleaning and writing down and moving stuff that usually comes at the end of the day. i do have to bring home a bunch of stuff so i can write up an excel sheet tomorrow. my other option is to actually come to work - and let's be serious! last time i came here on a friday thinking i'd get out really early was my birthday - and i was here the whole day. better to just stay home :)

best gyno and doc!!

my two are great...

primary care is bijal mehta, but its near columbus circle...you may not want to go that far...but she is really nice.

and my gyno is harry lee. he is the best. kinda dorky asian guy but really smart and makes you feel really comfortable...isnt around all the time though, only works in the office like 3 days a week, but my mom said that was normal since the rest of the time they are usually delivering babies...

if your healthcare accepts either of these people let me know and i can give you more info :)

dev doesnt have to pay a dime for his stuff! and he doesnt have to chose anything! he can go see anyone, anywhere, anytime...

don't like being an "adult"

yea, i'm not happy growing up either. but, a girl that works here just referred me to her doctor - some woman she says is amazing! so, i'm really excited. i had made an appt to go see a random doctor, but i'd much rather go with a personal referral, so i'm cancelling that one.

i guess i got lucky with the dentist - i just looked at the list of providers and picked the closest one to my office with a name i liked :) nush - i pay like $90/month for my health services too. it sucks! but, oh well, cest la vie.

now i just need to find a a gyno. . .maybe i'll ask the same girl that referred me to the general doctor (although i think i'll wait for her male office mate to leave the office)

oh well. i'm way too hungry to worry about that right now.

i really dont like how you have to chose a doctor/dentist in your plan. and i dont like that this year i get 45 dollars taken out of every paycheck to cover all my medical expenses. thats 90 a month!! geez....

your dentist isnt in the cheaper dental plan :) i dont think any dentists are...and the ones that are im kinda scared to go to ... so ill just go for the more expensive plan...

i was supposed to have a training session at the gym today (you get one free for joining...) but im still way too tired / sick. i may go to the gym during seinfeld just for a break, but i rescheduled with her for next week...

overworked

they seem to overwork you there! but at least it seems like you still like it....

things here are slowly getting back to normal...we shall see how long this lasts...

my boss has a wedding reception here next friday - what are you supposed to get your boss for his wedding?!?!?! one idea i had was a 100 gift cert to an indian rest that i like (either amma or tamrind)...my mom is also looking in our basement full of potential gifts that she just collects to see if there is something there for him...but other ideas?

hungry

so, eun's busy doing stuff and she assured me if i got behind, all i would have to do is call and she'd come help . . . but i feel bad doing that. so, instead . . . i think i'm skipping lunch. and i still don't feel very awake . .

but really! it seems like i might have time for lunch at like 2 . . . hmm . .
maybe if i started setting up my next steps instead of talking to you guys, i would get a chance to eat!

dentist...

who is your dentist? the one i went to was horrible (back in march) and i have been scared to go to one since...mark said his guy is really good so i made an apt, but they only gave me one in december!!!!

my cousin isnt coming...he is trying to get me to go to boston, but i really just want to relax, study, get my jcrew suit altered for all the conferences coming up, etc etc...

im kind of feeling better but i hate getting out of bed in the morning!! esp cause since i go to bed before dev, that is the only time we are both awake and i just want to stay like that forever...and the worst part is i keep thinking that this time last week we were driving around in our convertible in hawaii.....

i have gilmore girls! visit me!

i taped gilmore girls for jess and also to try to lure eun into watching it :) really, just this once to settle a debate. matt - this tech that sort of works in our lab, sort of doesn't HATES gilmore girls and he and i were debating about it, trying to convince eun who doesn't have time to watch tv. so, i brought in the tape so she could watch it whenever she wants (or if she wants) i even cut out the commericials :)

i don't feel awake today. i think because its not really nice out - although, its starting to clear up.

i went rock climbing at the rock climbing place i'm now a member of :) i LOVE it! i didn't think i was sore today until i came in and tried opening doors and realized my muscles no longer work :) but its really good because i def challenged myself last night. there were climbs that edgar did after me and was like wow - you did really well. and he's actually rock climbed before! and i played around with using leg muscles versus upper body strength. it was AWESOME!

and yeah - the deli is the random place we ended up at :) we had the best sandwich - we split a saulsalito wrap :) turkey with spicy mustard and lots of fresh lettuce and tomatoes and supposed to be spicy kind of cheese, but my bf is a whimp so we switched it to not spicy cheese. it was yummy :)

ok, now i need to go move cells into a different freezer. and i need to organize - but i may do that tomorrow. eun's busy today and might not be helping me at all . . . which means i might have a lot to do today . . .

back from dentist

he said i had beautiful teeth :) my gums are in a little bit of pain, but his office was so cool! ok, maybe my old dentist's office in miami was ghetto, which is why i'm not used to this, but the chair had a flat screen tv attached to it! so i got to watch j-lo and kanye west on regis and kelly while he cleaned my teeth, then i saw a bit of ellen's show. and, the guy was really nice. the yankees were on tv for like 2 seconds, so i obviously had to inform himi that i'm a red sox fan. he was like, "well, you should have waited till after i cleaned your teeth to tell me that." all in all, a good dentist visit.

nush - your cousin isn't coming anymore this weekend? i'll be around with my bro and his girlfriend, annie. jackie's thinking of going to pittsburgh to visit bryan. i think she's retarded and should stop going out of her way to see him since he doesn't even make an effort to see her, but whatever, i can't tell her anything. hopefully she'll see it on her own some day soon.

nush and megan - i talked to mena online for a little bit last night (rups, she's a friend of mine from home that visited me at mit sophmore year). she asked me how both of you were doing. nush - she HATES st. louis. she likes the school and her phD program and everything, but she hates the city. oh well.

i also talked to pulgui and carlitos. i dont usually sign on at home, so it was kind of nice talking to random people.

so, you guys know that gabe was here this past weekend. after we'd both had a few drinks, we were chatting about ramon and jojo's breakup. i told him that i've always thought ramon is cute, so then he started telling me that i should date ramon! i think it was all the wine talking :) i was like, "dude, he dated jojo - he's been tainted. besides, he's in med school in boston, i'm in nyc. no way."

game

while the boston fans were suffering, dev and i were jumping up and down :) i found out right before i left work that fox was showing both games! the regional one on local fox channel and then the other game on FSNNY. so we got to watch the game. we both like watching them at home much more cause we can eat together, and do work while we watch the game...

do you have the debates on tivo (the one last friday and last night) if you do i really want to come over this weekend and watch them. what are you doing this weekend? i think im here...i may go to Jersey sat morning to see my parents - they are going to my cousins house....i think thats about it though...

tivoing the games was a bad idea.. watching game 2 yesterday directly after game one was even harder than watching them lose on two separate nights. but i did catch up on my tivo :) now i've seen the gilmore girls and desperate housewives (which i love) that i was missing. and got to see the debates. ah i love technology.

nush, i hope everything worked out with game watching. jules was right, i don't have any special channels. by the way, the name of the place we went last year was "the slaughtered lamb". it's in the west village somewhere down the street from riviera. did you end up finding a place that you could watch the game?

miss me?

i've been getting every other day off because i have to work every other day - weekends included. and i don't always get a lunch break. or to leave at 5. so, eun took pity because she loves me and told me to only work every other day :)

i went rock climbing again last night! i love it! and there is this little deli that edgar and i now go to - we have eaten dinner there everyday this week. like, the owner is starting to recognize us! basically because we buy a quart of either milk or oj and just split it instead of getting sodas or something (they don't have mountain dew!) but she def laughed at me last night we i went up and asked for two cups - she was like oj again? its cool though, i like having a face to think of when i pay for my dinner.

ok, i thought the nurse would show up with my blood by now but she hasn't . . .
